Slack integration

Channel-per-competitor alerts and a daily digest summary post.

The faster a meaningful competitor change reaches your sales floor, the smaller the window in which the wrong story gets told. Slack is where most go-to-market teams already live, so we send each tracked competitor to its own channel and post a single daily digest summary into one shared channel for the whole team.

What it does

  • One channel per competitor, with each event posted as a threaded message linking back to the source page and the parsed diff.
  • A single daily digest post into a shared channel, summarising what changed across every tracked competitor in the last 24 hours.
  • Severity-aware delivery — high-severity events arrive immediately, low-severity moves are rolled into the daily summary so the channel does not become noise.
  • Per-channel mute and per-competitor opt-out, so a sales team can listen for one account without subscribing to the entire feed.
  • Threaded replies stay in the thread — when a teammate reacts or comments, we do not re-post the same event.

How to set it up

Slack is in private beta. The capabilities above describe the full delivery model we're piloting with a handful of design partners; the self-serve "Settings → Integrations → Slack" panel has not shipped to every workspace yet, so during beta we hand-roll the install with each customer to dial in the channel mapping and severity threshold together.

  1. 1Email us at hello@competitorintelligence.co with your Slack workspace name and the competitors you want piped in.
  2. 2We schedule a 20-minute setup call to install the Slack app, authorise the right scopes, and pick the shared channel for the daily summary plus one channel per competitor.
  3. 3We seed the severity threshold for instant alerts (default: high only, everything else rolled into the daily summary) and verify with a test message before handing the channels back.
